Chorisia Folkmanchori_folkman
Legal Whiz and Social Justice Pioneer

Chori was born in the middle of the asphalt jungle of Southern California. But she, along with her sister (former Board Member Jessie Folkman), was born to a hippie father who dreamed of one day owning a farm.  Both girls were raised within this dream of a farm (complete with moving to a more agricultural region, and owning a multitude of animals), which naturally led them up to the great Northwest.

She has dedicated her employment and educational pursuits toward the struggle for social justice for plain ol' normal folk. She is a graduate student in a social work, specializing in community organizing and services for children and families. She is also just about to receive about the fanciest law degree out there from the University of California , Berkeley.  She has devoted her energies and expertise toward non-profit work and dramatic court room scenes to help others secure social, medical and legal services, and she is committed to continue helping those in need in every way possible.

Chori dreams of owning a horse, and she loves playing with and taking care of any and all animals.  She is a big fan of berries, Washington Apples, wildflowers, listening to live music, and watching people enjoy themselves.
