What We Grow
The Local Choice Food Box provides 118 organically grown crops for our customers to choose from. The majority of that food is grown at our South 47 site in Redmond, WA, less than 20 miles from Seattle.
We grow eight varieties of tomatoes, nine varieties of head lettuce, and five varieties of cut greens including our renowned "Vincent's Spicy Mix". We grow all the staples like onions and potatoes, fun snacking food like baby carrots and sugar snap peas, a variety of specialty items like shallots, eggplant, artichokes and sweet potatoes, and eggs from free-roaming chickens.
What we can't grow on our South 47 farm--mostly perennial fruits--comes from other Washington organic farmers. Alm Hill Gardens, one of the oldest organic farms in Washington, provides its famous Toulameen raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. Apples, pears and stone fruits will be come from our partner farms in Wenatchee, Bellingham and Mabton.
