Restaurant Coalition
A group of socially conscious restaurants dedicated to buying food from local farms! Built on the great local farms in the area, Growing Washington is creating an easy way for local restaurants to connect to seasonal local food. Using our knowledge of agriculture and connections to local farmers, we are developing an online system to connect local restaurants to great food, with ease!

Goals of our Restaurant Coalition
• Create new, year round markets for established local farmers
• Increase access to local food to small businesses
• Assist immigrant Hmong farmers with marketing produce to new markets
• Develop new, replicable models for community distribution of local food

Hmong relief efforts
In addition to assisting the local farming community at large, in a special partnership with WSU Small Farms Team, we are making a special connection to the Hmong, a group of immigrant farmers devastated by the winter flooding.
Renowned for their flowers at Pike’s Place Market, the flood uprooted all their spring bulbs, at the same time dashing their hopes for a profitable year. We are offering this unique outlet to this marketing challenged community in hopes we can save their farms and provide great food at the same time!
